Sarah tries to live every second of every day, but her three favorite things are fitness, learning, and traveling. You'll find her in all areas of the club; rowing, doing yoga, training for a triathlon, swimming, pumping weights...and definitely in the kids arcade zone and climbing wall. If she’s not in the club, you’ll find her globe trotting. She’s volunteered in all the continents of the world. She’s slept beside wild elephants, seen the pyramids in Egypt, the beauty of Sri Lankan beaches, swam with 300 year turtles in the Galapagos, and so much more But she always loves coming home.
Sarah’s passion for fitness began when she was very little. She participated in gymnastics until she was 10, but then fell in love with soccer. She played on provincial team for 5 years, each year going to Nationals and playing against the best teams in all of Canada. A lot of the girls she knew now play at the Olympics. After a bout of illness, she got back into shape at the gym. From the first day she lifted weights, she knew she was hooked for life. She started a women's only weight training class in high school, and again in university.
She received her kinesiology degree from the University of Manitoba and is now doing her masters at Western. In between high school and Western, she has become certified in nearly every area of fitness She has taught aqua size, step aerobics, child fitness, pre-post natal training, older adults...you name it.
But above it all she loves personal training and yoga the most. She have been training for 9 years and teaching yoga for 5. She is also certified in holistic nutrition and has found a way of eating that has changed her life. Her philosophy is Holistic Health. Sarah’s goal is to help you realize your potential and show you a new dimension of fitness.
